Can you believe we are already in May? This school year has been such a beautiful journey, and I am so grateful for every single one of you. You have shown up, you have supported your learners, and together we have built something truly special here at Little Elm STEAM Academy.
May is not just the final chapter of our school year — it is a celebration month! We are going out with a bang, and I want to make sure every family knows exactly what is coming so you do not miss a single moment. From outer space exploration to honoring our incredible moms, from garden days to dino days, we have packed this month with purpose and joy.
As always, this is your sign to stay connected, stay curious, and keep cheering your little ones on. They are doing amazing things, and so are you.
Our End of Year Project 🚀
Blast Off Into the Planets!
We are launching our very last project of the year in the most out of this world way possible! In honor of National Space Day on May 1st, our final unit will take us on a journey through the solar system as we explore the planets. Students will research, create, and present their very own planet projects. Get ready for rockets, rings, and a whole lot of STEAM magic as we close out our year among the stars. The universe is big, but your learner's curiosity is even bigger!

Star Wars Day
May the 4th be with you! We are celebrating this beloved galactic holiday right alongside our planet unit. The Force is strong in this classroom!
Cinco de Mayo
We will honor and celebrate the rich culture and heritage of Cinco de Mayo. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn about history, food, art, and traditions together.
National Bike & Roll to School Day
Dust off those wheels! Students are welcome to arrive on bikes, scooters, skates, or rollerblades. Let us roll into school in the most fun way possible — helmets on and smiles ready!
Mother's Day
To every mom, grandmother, auntie, and mother figure — we celebrate YOU this week. Our students have been thinking of you, and we hope your day is as wonderful as you are. Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Birthday, Mason!
We are celebrating one of our very own! Wishing our sweet Mason the most wonderful birthday surrounded by all the people who love him. Hip hip hooray for Mason!
World Plant a Vegetable Garden Day
Get those hands in the dirt! Today we are honoring this global celebration of growing our own food. A perfect STEAM moment to talk about science, sustainability, and where our food comes from.
Dinosaur Day
Two celebrations in one day! Dinosaur Day is a roaring good time. We will explore the ancient world and let our inner paleontologists run wild alongside our garden fun.

As we move through the final weeks of this school year, I want you to know that it has been one of the greatest honors of my life to walk alongside your children. Watching them grow, discover, ask questions, and light up with wonder — that is why I do what I do.
May is bittersweet for me. I celebrate everything we have built together, and I also hold so much gratitude in my heart for each family that trusted me with their most precious gift. You chose us, you showed up, and that means everything.
Let us finish this year with the same energy we started it — curious, creative, and full of faith that the best is still ahead. Whether your child is rolling to school on their scooter, planting a seed in the garden, or presenting their planet project with the biggest smile — I want you to cheer loud. They have earned it. So have you.
Thank you for an absolutely beautiful year. This is your sign to slow down, soak it all in, and enjoy every moment of May. We are just getting started. ☕ 🕊️ ✌️
